Collective Minds is an organization devoted to community, family, peace and most importantly - HOUSE MUSIC. For the past two years, the organization (which is a collective of artists [Ultra Nate', Inner Circle,etc.], DJ's [Spen, KW Griff, Biskit, Oji, Pope, Henry Da Man, etc.], industry professionals, and house music affcionados), has organized a day-long picnic followed by an evening of after-parties. The goal is to generate awareness of the music. The outcome is always FUN! With its own stable of TALENT (Basement Boys, Code Red, Sugar Recordings, Ultra Nate', Karizma, Poji Records, Kohesive Productions, Neal Conway, Ron Hall, The MuthaFunkaz, Mark Evans and more - Baltimore proves that HOUSE MUSIC LIVES! Artscape is the mid-Atlantic's largest celebration of the arts, featuring 120+ arts and craftspeople from across the country; visual art exhibits both on and off site; incredible live concerts on four outdoor stages; a full schedule of performing arts including dance, opera, theater, fashion, film and classical music, hands-on projects, children's entertainers, three street theater locations; and a delicious, international menu of food and beverages. SPW is the UK's premier soulful dance event. Music lovers from the world over flock to the UK twice a year for this nonstop weekend-long event, to hear the world's best DJ's and vocalists. Spen had the honor to play Southport Weekender 36 and he didn't disappoint. It was no holds barred when Spen decided to bring out the "big guns" and invite Biblical Jones and Vonita White (formerly of Jasper Street Company) and Gary "Hudge" Hudgins (the keyboard mastermind behind many of the classic Basement Boys tracks and Spen's partner in the newly formed MuthaFunkaz production company) to join him.
